My interest in ceramics began in the mid nineties when I began collecting local pottery. I enrolled in a pottery workshop where I learned I had real skill for the craft. After only the second class I invested in a pottery wheel. Primarily self taught, my study has been accentuated by various workshops.
In 1998, I made my dream come true by opening my studio, Cone Five Pottery, in Buffalo, NY. Since 2000 I have participated in numerous fine art exhibitions, winning first place in clay at the 2001 Allentown Arts Festival. An expansion of Cone Five Pottery in 2002 has afforded me the space to sell my own work, as well as many other talented local craft artists, teach pottery classes, and invest in my community doing something I truly love.
My work has evolved through the years as I have experimented with the challenge of new forms and surfaces. I want people to use my pottery in their every day life activities. To meet that end, each piece is crafted with a lot of thought, time, and commitment to both design and function.
I would like to thank all my customers for their continued support over the years!!!
